predictions
Version #1 "In the City of God there will be a

Thousands of people have received hoax e-mails containing this prophecy, often with a second part forecasting that the attack on the twin towers will mark the beginning of World War III. It is hard to believe that after the horrific events someone would start a chain letter with fake prophecies. Apparently some people have absolutely no shame. Given the enormity of what happened on 11 Sept. 2001. These Chain letter had been deliberately twisted to fit the events, or pure inventions.
Did the 16th century seer, Nostradamus, predict Tuesday’s terrorist attacks on the United States? No, It is NOT the writing of Nostradamus, but a hoax.
Version #1:
- Unfortunately, Nostradamus died in 1566. Nostradamus did not make any predictions in 1654 having died in 1566.
- While the text has all the flavor of Nostradamus' writings, it cannot be found in the Centuries.
Version #2
The original, authentic passage is typically translated this way:
The sky will burn at forty-five degrees latitude,
Fire approaches the great new city
Immediately a huge, scattered flame leaps up
When they want to have verification from the Normans.
- Nostradamus never mentioned "two steel birds,"
- Nor "the undead will roam the earth."
- New York City lies at exactly 40 degrees, 42 minutes, 51 seconds north latitude
Version #3
- A very few words are drawn from a couple of different quatrains to make them seem relevant to the World Trade Center catastrophe.
- He never mentions New York City at all. Nor 'York', for that matter
